Kim Kardashian West is scheduled to meet with the grandmother she helped set free from prison.
West, 37, met with President Donald Trump and asked him to consider releasing 63-year-old Alice Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense.
Trump later commuted Johnson’s sentence. Johnson had spent 22 years in prison.
West was the first person to tell Johnson of her impending release, over the phone.
West is traveling to Memphis to meet with Johnson on Wednesday, a source told Us Weekly.
On Thursday, West and Johnson will appear together on NBC’s “Today” show, reported USA Today.
“Today” host Hoda Kotb will interview the pair.
